Ms. Amulen Hillary is a skilled Statistician and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) professional with over three years of experience in data collection, analysis, and program evaluation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Statistics from Makerere University Business School and a Post-graduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation from Uganda Management Institute.
In her role as a Research Officer at Eight Tec, Amulen brings her expertise in research methodologies, data management, and evaluation processes to contribute to high-quality research outcomes. Her experience spans designing M&E frameworks, developing key performance indicators, and conducting thorough data analysis to support evidence-based decision-making. She is proficient in using statistical software such as Epi-data, SPSS, Stata, and Microsoft Office applications, including ODK, to gather and analyze data accurately.
Amulen’s career highlights include her previous role as an M&E Assistant at Girl Up Initiative Uganda, where she was instrumental in capacity building, developing data collection tools, and evaluating the effectiveness of projects like the Mazuri Designs Hub and Nikotayari Project. Her ability to track project outcomes, conduct field visits, and prepare comprehensive M&E reports has contributed to strategic improvements within the organization.
Amulen also gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant with Uganda Bureau of Statistics, where she participated in major national surveys like the National Population and Housing Census 2023, Uganda National Household Survey, and Gender Equality Survey. Her role involved direct engagement with communities, ensuring the integrity of data collection, and helping inform national evaluation strategies.
Known for her strong analytical skills and commitment to data accuracy, Amulen’s work focuses on producing reliable insights that drive strategic recommendations. As a Research Officer at Eight Tec Consults Limited, she is committed to contributing to the success of research projects by ensuring the delivery of actionable insights to stakeholders and supporting data-driven decision-making.
