ATU sought the services of a qualified consultant to review the current Strategic Plan and develop a new comprehensive Strategic and Financial Plan for the period 2023-2026 that will set the priorities in the areas of; Development, Radio Communications and Standardization including general public policy issues and emerging Technologies issues. Action plans and anticipated results for the next four years are based on existing and anticipated resources and capacities. We noted that the emphasis of the new strategic plan is expected to be on matching the Union’s long-term objectives and policy with the required level of resources in order to achieve its set mission and vision as a leading continental Telecommunications/ICTs organization. The new ATU Strategic and Financial Plan for 2023-2026 will serve as a road map in setting the direction and pace of the Union over the next 4 years and beyond in a coordinated and focused manner.

The aim of the Strategic Plan is “to enable the Union to effectively coordinate its projects, programs and activities taking into account the needs of the Membership and other stakeholders in Africa and beyond.”
