Eight Tech Supports Nkumba University’s Beach Boys with New Jerseys for African University Games

In a bid to strengthen our commitment to nurturing local talent, Eight Tech Consults proudly donated a brand-new set of jerseys to Nkumba University’s football team, the Beach Boys. This generous gesture came just in time for the team’s trip to Nigeria, where they represented the university in the All African University Games.

Dr. Drake Patrick Mirembe, our Chief Technology Officer emphasized that the donation symbolized Eight Tech’s dedication to supporting local sports. He encouraged the team to give their best on the field, stating, “When you put on that jersey, each goal you score is registered not only for you but for all of us.”

The Beach Boys expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the donation, noting how it boosted their morale and fostered unity as they prepared for the tournament. “These jerseys will be a symbol of our team’s identity and spirit,” said Kennedy Ssewankambo, the team captain. “We are thankful for Eight Tech’s support and looked forward to making our university proud.”

Head Coach Dr. Bbosa Sulaiman also recognized Eight Tech’s generosity, believing this partnership would inspire the team to excel in their performance.

Professor Jude Lubega, Vice Chancellor of Nkumba University and CEO of Eight Tech Consults, extended his appreciation to the Eight Tech team and urged the Beach Boys to “bring home the Trophy.”

The Beach Boys departed for Lagos on Thursday, September 19th, and competed in the games held from September 20th, 2024, where they recorded two victories out of four encounters. This achievement showcased their determination and skill against some of the top university teams from across Africa. With the backing of Eight Tech, the Beach Boys were motivated to represent Nkumba University with pride and ambition.
