Good Practices in Project Management

Project management is the process of leading the work of a team to achieve all project goals within the given constraints. This information is usually described in project documentation, created at the beginning of the development process. The primary constraints are scope, time, and budget.
Eight Tech consults in partnership with Eight learning institute of technology and management https://8learning.org/ are organizing a learning session to teach members on the good practices of project management.
This session is aimed at equipping participants with skills and practices to manage and handle projects, with a sneak pick in ways of handling and interpreting the project scope, time management components, and budget handling.

The facilitators have managed and worked on a number of projects with organizations like UNESCO, UCC, ENABEL, UICT, MoES, Ministry of Public service among others. The experience and expertise they will provide to the participants will equip participants with skills in project management
Dr. Drake Patrick Mirembe
Dr. Drake Patrick Mirembe holds a Ph.D. from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands in information system security. Drake has worked both in the industry and academia in the last 15 years.
Dr. Drake is an active researcher in the field of ICT for Development, ICT4Agric, Learning Technologies, health information systems, digital security, secure integration of ICTs, and ICT innovation and Incubation. Dr. Martha KibukaMusoke
Holds a Doctorate degree in Sociology and a Master of Arts degree in development studies from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University of South Africa. She is currently a Senior Lecturer with Cavendish University Uganda. She has a wealth of experience both in research and program interventions for combating child labor, developing organizational strategic plans, and developing training manuals. She is a Professor of sociology at Cavendish University and a researcher within the framework of Engage Scholar Academic Network (ESCANET) www.escanet.org with research interest in; basic and applied research, ICT4D, social inclusiveness and digital divide, human performance enhancement among others. Ms. Namagembe Betty
Ms. Namagembe Betty is a statistician by profession with a bachelor’s degree in Statistics. Betty has vast experience in research, data analysis, and project management. She has managed projects with clients such as GIZ, UNESCO, ENABEL among others
