BTVET INSTRUCTORS ICT CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP

The ICT in teaching and learning training workshop for BTVET heads of institutions and instructors will be a Five (5) days event organized to equip participant from BEAR II beneficiary institutions with skills on how to use the various ICT tools such as Learning Management System (LMS), social media, simulators among others to facilitate the process of teaching and learning. The training is specifically meant to equip these people with appropriate skills to be able to deliver teaching online, but also build capacity of their peers.

1. WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

• To provide fundamentals of ICT application education (i.e.: Introduction to ICT in Education, Instructional Technology, Safety online, Finding resources for lessons, ICT for Organization and Management)
• To equip the participants with skills on how to use the LMS for facilitating teaching and learning training
• To introduce participant to ICT Pedagogy Integration Practicum of open source resources for learning e.g. simulators, widgets, etc.
